'Where the Bali hell are you?’ campaign wins ‘The Golden Mole Award’
(20 November 2006)

The Little Bali Hotel & Resort Company® (LBHRC) has been awarded the coveted ‘The Golden Mole Award’ for its highly innovative approach to international marketing via its ‘Where the Bali hell are you’ online viral marketing campaign.

‘The Golden Mole Award’ has been presented by Australia, New Zealand and UK-based online travel publication ‘The Travel Mole’.

The award is given to organisations and individuals who have performed in an exemplary manner or have demonstrated the very highest degree of innovation in the tourism, travel and associated industries and sectors.

Launched on 02 November 2006, its sole intention to kick-start a tourism revival plan for Bali, the  ‘Where the Bali hell are you?’ online viral marketing campaign has now, according to LBHRC figures, been viewed by more than 125,000 unique visitors in 25 countries.

The company has backed up the online campaign with the release of a series of attractive, valued-added LBHRC member hotel and resort accommodation packages designed to further stimulate the Australian market.

The company is already planning online campaign number two which like its much-watched predecessor, will be shot on location in Bali.

Accepting the award on behalf of the LBHRC team, co-founder Mike Parker-Brown said he was delighted the 'Where the Bali hell are you?' campaign had attracted so much attention.

“The campaign seems to have had, initially, the desired effect in helping to kick-start a resurgence of interest in Bali in Australia and the exceptional travel opportunities this wonderfully multi-faceted destination offers to all Australian travellers - irrespective of taste or budget,” he said.

“And that is where all of the LBHRC team wish the focus to remain – while we are very honoured to have received the award we would prefer that the focal point remains on reinstating Bali in its rightful place as one of Australia’s – and the world’s - premier overseas holiday destinations."
